Drill
The Cedarcrest Drill Team is a longstanding tradition at the high school. Our goal is in following with the Riverview School District Athletic Code of Conduct:
"Our goal is to have participants leave our programs as responsible citizens who are able to work with others, give their best effort and to be resilient in a changing world.”
The Drill Team is a competition team focusing on dance technique as it applies to, but not limited by, the WIAA Military, Kick, and Show categories for Dance/Drill. The team’s competition season is from November-March, with State concluding the season at the Yakima Sun Dome (if qualified). During competition season the team travels to invitationals at schools within our region, including Districts (if qualified).
Our Core Values: Our team commits to be present, show love to ourselves and others, give generously, invest in our personal growth, and challenge ourselves daily.
The Cedarcrest Drill Team requires a minimum of 6 hours of team choreography practice per week, with conditioning and review work expected to be exercised outside of practice. Each member will be able to achieve her right, left, and center splits by Districts along with any other technique driven “trick” the choreography calls for.
The Drill Team performs at Football and Basketball halftimes, community events, and school assemblies.
