Cedarcrest High School

Class of 2018

Senior Walk

Cedarcrest high school will be starting something new this year.  We will be holding a Senior Walk at the Elementary Schools on Monday June 11th.  Seniors will meet in the CHS gym at 9:30 with their cap and gowns.  They will load the bus headed to their Elementary of choice at 9:35-9:40.  The busses will head to the Elementary where an administrator will meet the Seniors.  The Seniors will walk through the hallways (bus loop at Carnation) at 10:00 giving students and teachers high fives and being generally happy and cordial. I would anticipate the walk taking 15 minutes. After which, the Seniors will load back on the busses by 10:20 and be back at CHS around 10:35-10:40, getting them in back in class by 10:45.

All Seniors are eligible to sign up for this event. This involves all Cedarcrest, Running Start, Parade, and CLIP Seniors.  All Seniors are required to sign-up in the CHS main office by June 7 at 2:30 PM.  If you do not sign up you are not allowed to go to the schools.  Seniors have to ride the bus from Cedarcrest to the Elementary schools. (NO self-transporting allowed).

The Graduation walk has three purposes.  First: we want to inspire the Elementary kids to realize that they are not very far away from high school and thus graduation.  Second: After the huge success of our Riverview Interhigh, we realized that there is a massive need for a stronger connection between CHS and our other schools in the district, and the students crave this connection. And Third: We want our Seniors to show their gratitude to their Elementary teachers who really helped shape their world.
